The 2015 Labrador Retriever calendar is here! This year I have selected a collection of my favorite paintings from the past year to be featured each month. This years calendar has been created in memory of my late yellow Labrador, Lucy who we lost to Lymphoma last year. My very last watercolor of her “Seas Are Calm” is the 2015 calendar cover.
Every year, I donate a portion of the calendar profits to a Labrador Rescue group. I have chosen this year’s donation recipient Save A Lab Labrador Retriever Rescue that helps Labs in the Southeast and the Northeast regions of the United States.
The calendar is now available for pre order with calendars to begin shipping in late September. Quantities are limited. To Purchase

Spin Cycle 12″x16″ watercolor framed to 24″x30″ driftwood frame
Continuing with my water and Labrador Retriever themed works this past week, I created these new watercolor and gouache artworks on paper.
These works are framed with handcrafted frames made from salvaged driftwood collected from the salt marshes of South Carolina by artisan/craftsman Jim Lavalley from Charleston, South Carolina. His reclaimed wood company makes frames from anything from antique pianos to salvaging washed up boats. You can find his work here on his “Old Like New” etsy shop.
The weathered frames are a perfect compliment to my water dog works. They will be on display soon locally. More information to follow.
*Thank you to Erin Furman and Katie Dinning for providing refererence photos for these new works.
It is hard to believe it is already time to start planning for my 2014 Labrador Retriever watercolor calendar. This will be the fourth year creating this calendar and the second year I am inviting folks to share their favorite Lab photos with me. I must get going on this project if I plan on having in ready in time!
Last year, I was met with such an overwhelming response and hope this year will be just as exciting seeing all the wonderful submissions.
Just like last year, I will be choosing 13 photos from the submissions and paint 13 watercolors to appear in 2014’s calendar.
Each year, a portion of the calendar sales go to support Lab Rescue Organization of my choosing. In keeping with the theme of “Show Me Your Labs Coast to Coast”, I have chosen to support both Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue and Save A Lab in 2014 with a percentage of the proceeds split between these two rescue groups.
The rules are pretty much the same with a few minor changes to ease the organization of email submissions.
