“Rodalyn’s Goats” a new small watercolor. Last Spring, I visited Rodalyn’s farm to take photos of her working with her border collies.
I came home with a pile of great reference photos and admiration for the discipline, control and communication between dog and shepherd.
This is a painting from one of the photos from that day focusing on the her friendly goats.
This and other selected works will be on display in the UNH Manchester Library as part of a solo exhibit featuring my watercolor and casein paintings. The show will run from August-December. More information to follow
For the folks from New Hampshire who have inquired about where they can view my work in person, I have joined East Colony Fine Art Gallery in Manchester, NH.
Here you will find a selection of my paintings on display along with the works of other talented and award winning artists from the area. The Gallery is located at the Langer Place Mill on South Commercial Street.
“Farmhand” 8″x8″ watercolor on paper.
A few weeks ago, I stopped by our neighbor’s home to pick up some tomato, zucchini and cucumber starts from her greenhouse. Vicki is a talented organic farmer and her vegetables are so healthy and grown with care. I noticed back on the property, not too far from the greenhouse a fabulous old truck with fading advertising. I just had to photograph it and paint it. The pattern, texture, fading and rust are so interesting as well as the hand painted lettering you don’t see much of anymore.
What’s an old truck without an old dog to ride around with? Of course, I had to put Lucy in the driver’s seat! SOLD
